Meet Our Reading Specialists

Sabrina is a dedicated and passionate educator with 15 years of experience teaching 3rd and 4th grade, specializing in English Language Arts and Math. Sabrina earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston College of Education, where she developed a strong foundation in teaching and learning. 

She is known for her warm and approachable teaching style, she excels in building strong, positive relationships with her students, fostering both academic growth and a love for learning. Sabrina is a lifelong learner herself, always seeking new ways to grow in her profession and bring fresh ideas into the classroom. 

Outside of school, she enjoys getting lost in a good book, staying active through running, and spending quality time with her family. 

Uanya Robinson is a seasoned literacy educator with 23 years of experience teaching in both elementary and middle school classrooms. She holds certifications in English Language Arts and Reading (Grades 4–12), English as a Second Language (EC–12), and Special Education (EC–12).

Known for her personalized and engaging approach, Uanya specializes in helping diverse learners develop strong literacy skills, build reading confidence, and foster a genuine love for learning. She tailors each lesson to meet individual student needs and continually seeks out best practices in literacy instruction to ensure every child thrives.

Outside of her tutoring work, Uanya enjoys exploring new children’s literature, participating in community reading initiatives, and spending quality time with her family.

Jazmin Castillo is a seasoned literacy educator with over 15 years of experience working with elementary and middle school students in Houston, Texas. She began her career as a fourth-grade bilingual teacher before founding fifth- and seventh-grade English Language Arts programs.

Jazmin has also served as a reading interventionist for grades 5–8 and as a school librarian, helping hundreds of students build strong reading skills and discover books they love.

Known for making learning fun and tailored to each student’s needs, she brings enthusiasm and expertise to every tutoring session. Outside the classroom, Jazmin practices yoga, devours a wide range of novels, and cherishes time with her middle school son.
